A London studio with some colourful projects – including work for AVA!Studio EMMI have a sophisticated approach to colour – something many designers (myself included) struggle with. Their work has a consistent style – combining a flair for vibrant illustration with a more traditional typographic formality. They’ve done work for some great clients too; the Prince’s Trust, Tate Britain, University of Westminster and, of course, AVA.
The following are images from two AVA titles – Re-Imagining Animation and Thinking: Objects. I love the motif they’ve developed in the former, using large overlapping blocks of translucent colour.
