Comment to win The Fundamentals of Creative Photography by David Präkel!
This is a fantastic book for anyone who wants to become a professional photographer. It’s not about the technical skills you need to develop – there are plenty of books that do that. AVA’s Creative Photography series are designed to help photographers make more meaningful images and become successful professional photographers. It will help readers to create the right images for a client, teaches self-promotion and self-administration and describes best working practice in terms of image workflow. And of course it’s filled with memorable and sophisticated photographs from professionals and students.
The book’s author, David Präkel, has enjoyed a successful career in photography, journalism and education, and runs photography workshops in the UK.
‘From an educator’s perspective, this is probably the best book on photography I’ve come across … This title covers everything that photographic students need from production and distribution to critical analysis (and everything in between).’
– Dave Caton, Swindon College, UK
And the winner of Basics Graphic Design 01: Approach and Language is…Rosie Mcghie! Congratulations – please email your postal address to press@avabooks.co.uk so we can send the book to you.
ooh another photography book! This one actually sounds even more suitable for me as a budding photographer. I definitely need help with finding the right compositions, light situations and “define a moment” with a photograph. I entertain two blogs at the moment which are yet to be filled with proper photographic images.
Thanks and have a good weekend!
Anne
Yay! This book seems great! I’d love to have it in order to focus on those details needed to get good shots :)
This looks lovely too – it would be a useful addition to my library

I think this is the best one so far! !
Would be beautiful to acquire one!!
