GFW ’12 mannequin competition entries!

Feast your eyes on the entries for the AVA mannequin competition at this year’s Graduate Fashion Week!

Well done to all the students who took part – it’s amazing what you can all do with some spare magazines, scraps of paper and AVA balloons! Caryn Franklin, c0-founder of All Walks Beyond the Catwalk, will be judging the competition, and we’ll be announcing the winner on our blog next week. The winning team will receive £150 of Urban Outfitters  vouchers (many thanks to the kind folks at UO!) AND a selection of AVA fashion books for their college library. In the meantime, take a look at the entries! Which is your favourite??

Team 1 - Fitted dress with scalloped layers and high collar

 

Team 2 - Woven skirt, twisted puff sleeves and cut-out chest detail

 

Team 3 - Full-length dress with balloon waist, fan neck and yellow triangle detail

 

Team 4 - Fitted dress with pleated hem, one shoulder strap and fan shoulder detail

 

Team 5 - Looped skirt with twisted neck and back details

 

Team 6 - Menswear jacket with yellow star front

 

Team 7 - Full-length gown with scrunched paper train and paper shard shoulder detail

 

Team 8 - Yellow structured dress with balloon skirt
