An exciting new project designed to showcase both the emerging and established talent on Bloomsbury’s picture book list and to support the many amazing booksellers and bookshops across the UK.
Bloomsbury’s Illustrated Windows project is designed to showcase both the emerging and established talent on Bloomsbury’s picture book list and to support the many amazing booksellers and bookshops across the UK. The project will run throughout 2014 with at least one Bloomsbury Illustrator creating a window display for a high street or independent retailer each month. There will be more concentrated periods of activity around key dates such as Independent Booksellers Week and we will be working closely with The Booksellers Association.
Bloomsbury is launching the project on Saturday 25th January with Tom McLaughlin creating a The Story Machine themed window for Falmouth Bookseller.
He will also be reading and signing from 2pm. You can follow all of the activity on Twitter at @KidsBloomsbury with the hashtag #IllustratedWindows
Also confirmed are Catalina Echeverri doing a There’s a Dinosaur in My Bathtub window for Under the Greenwood Tree on Thursday 27th February, and Sophie Tilley with an Amelie and Nanette: Sparkly Shoes and Picnic Parties themed window for Booka Bookshop & Café on on Thursday 6th March (World Book Day)
Isn’t this just GREAT? :)
