This year’s Eco-Chic Design award is hotting up! Not only we have some amazing finalists, but also some top Bloomsbury authors have joined in as mentors to them.
As many of you know already, we are always keen to get involved with new initiatives out there that help boost the careers and creativity of fashion students out there, and this year we have been proud supporters of ModeConnect’s YourView competition, the Stitch Your Brain research project (more to come on this soon), and for a second year running, the Eco-Chic Design Award.
As we did in 2013, we are supporting this Award by supplying all finalists and semi-finalists with copies of A practical Guide to Sustainable Fashion and the not-yet-published Sustainable Fashion: Past, Present and Future.
The finalists – and winners – will also be receiving a wide array of prizes, which include free access to the Berg Fashion Library, an free subscriptions to our journals.
Several Bloomsbury authors have also come on board for this 2014 edition to provide the finalists with individual mentorship sessions about sustainability, zero-waste fashion and the fashion design industry:
